EXTRA CREDIT: Students--from your research, how would you describe America's progress in eliminating terrorism in the Middle East? Discuss your reasoning.
I think that the U.S. military is trying there best to stop terrorists but they will never truly die out. I believe America is doing a great job preventing terrorism in the states. The TSA security and the homeland security are keeping terrorist activity at bay and for that I am truly thankful. Austin Leonard
ReplyDeleteI think that America is trying very hard to eliminate terrorism, but it will never truly disappear. The progress of elimination in the Middle East has been very slow. There will always be some terrorist group who doesn't like the United States. Terrorism in the states seems to have been eliminated, but we will never know if it has completely disappeared.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the Homeland Security is doing a good job of keeping terrorism away, with a couple slip ups of course. I don't know if they or the government are going about it the right way.If they were going about it the right way they wouldn't have a stranger in the elevator with the President. Since 9/11 everyone has been taking more precautions and been more cautious about everything because they don't anything like that to happen again. I guess they are doing a good job if no terrorist attacks have happened lately. ~ Rose Weaver
ReplyDeleteSince 9/11 the United States has done a good job of keeping foreign terrorists from having anymore successful advancements on our own soil. As for eliminating terrorism in the Middle East, America has been less successful. Killing Bin Laden was an achievement of the war on terror, I doubt it will have lasting effects on terrorist activity that is focused against the United States. SETH STREET
ReplyDeleteI think that America is doing a great job pushing back and destroying the terrorist groups. The problem is that every time one is taken care of, another pops up. So essentially, it looks like no progress is being made, though our military is doing the best they can.
