American History I students are discussing a number of very relevant issues in America, such as, the industrial revolution, the charisma of Andrew Jackson, and the resurgence of slavery and the subsequent rise of the abolitionists.
EXTRA CREDIT: What do you believe to be the most important industrial development and why? OR, stated another way, of the inventions that we have discussed, which do you think was most significant and why?
I think that the improvement of the steam engine was one of the most important developments of the industrial revolution because it made the steam engine more popular when the steam boats came around as well as improved versions of earlier steam powered machines that made traveling the rivers and other populated places in the U.S. easier and more practical for people who could afford it.

In my opinion I think that the most important industrial invention regarding what we have talked about in the class would have to be the telephone. The telephone has taken communication to a whole different level. We use the telephone everyday in this world. Without the telephone we wouldn't be able to communicate so efficiently like we already do.
ReplyDeleteI think that the most important industrial development is the making of the light bulb and energy. With out this we would not be were we are today and we would not be able to do anything like we do at night with out lights. Even were we live we couldn't even have part of school tell later in the day because we could not see. The other is energy. With out the finding of ether ways to use energy we would have run out of ways a long time ago if we were still using the old ways.
