EXTRA CREDIT: Discuss the decade of the Red Scare. What caused this fear? How did McCarthyism contribute to this fear?
The Red Scare involve the government and communist. The government was trying to stop the spread of communism in Vietnam. They didn't was different views and beliefs be come more popular and they wanted the republicans and democrats to stay in political power. McCarthyism involved the suspicion of communism and blaming people for it. The term is still used today regarding accusations with out proof.
