Senior history students will be viewing the film Zero: 9-11.
EXTRA CREDIT: Discuss the questions posed by the film concerning the events of 9-11. And, discuss the merits of these questions. Do they make sense? Are they far-fetched or hard to believe? Are there any other questions that you would like to see answered?
I thought it was very strange that this video was produced and put together by a bunch of Italians. I understand the attempt to make it as least biased as possible, however i don't think they know more about what happened on 9/11 here in America, than Americans themselves. However, since they were adding their opinion on everything else, i thought they could have touched more on the subject of what happened to the plane that was supposed to crash into the pentagon, and the plane that was crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. Where was that plane going and what went wrong. I definitely didn't agree on all of their points, and I think it is important for everyone to figure out their own opinion on the matter because i don't think we will ever know the whole truth about what happened. ReplyDeleteI thought this movie brought up some good points about different issues surrounding the attack of 9/11. I thought it was interesting when they were talking about the plane that was crashed into the Pentagon because there were hardly any remains left from the crash. I also wondered how it could be that it was able to get there in the first place. Why would the plane be allowed into the area if it is so heavily guarded? And if a Military aircraft is the only thing that can be given permission to fly in, what really flew into the Pentagon and why? Could there have been more behind that crash than we know? I think so. The theories on the collapse of the towers were also interesting. No matter what they came up with, there seemed to be something missing. Katie Peterson
ReplyDeleteI feel as though the Zero 9/11 movie brought up several good points but I think one thing that we need to look into is who wrote the movie and where did they get their information. This movie was produced by Italian people who were not present at the attacks. Although they did make several points that are worth looking into some things that they mentioned seemed a bit far-fetched for me to believe. Although it is hard to make a film unbiased on an issue as big as this, I think they could have looked into several issues more because as a whole the movie seemed extremely biased to me. This film did present a lot more questions about 9/11. I think there is still more information that can be found from the 9/11 attacks, but at this point, who knows if we will find anything else. However, it is definitely worth looking into. --Kayla Neuman
ReplyDeleteThough the film had many points on what the film makers believed what happened that day and it was good to see another side of the story, I don't agree with the way the film was made. At first the film makers had some good points they pointed out that made sense but then they flashed words on the screen and played sound clips over and over, almost like they were attempting to brain wash the people. After a while of watching, it seemed like they only had a few good points and were trying to back it up with absolute rubbish. I don't know where the film makers got their information, but it may be a good idea to see what exactly is fact and what's fiction. -Hunter Price
