Today grade 12 students tried to determine what would be the best political and economic system for a fictitious country, Freedonia. I gave them the essential data about the country, its size, ethnicity, and source of income. The types of government were quite varied as some didn't take the activity with a great deal of seriousness; however, most found that a republic with a mixed economy was the most favored option.
