American History I
American History I students are completing the year with a look at the Cold War. Major events, themes and significance. EXTRA CREDIT: Describe the Truman Doctrine and its significance.
The Truman Doctrine was president Truman's attempt to spread Communism. he agreed to give $400 million to help Greece and turkey not be taken over by the soviets. This really got us involved in the cold war.

The Truman doctrine stated that the United States would help any country or people threatened by the soviets or communists. -Jarrett
