American History I
American History I students are completing the unit on the American Revolution.
EXTRA CREDIT: What factor(s) determined who won the revolutionary war?
The factors that played a large role are the fallowing, the storm blocking the britians, The french arriving, and the fact the the colonist had knowledge of the land and heart jack
There were many factors that determined who won the revolutionary. The fact that the Colonists were fighting on their home turf had a lot to do with the win. The British only had control over the cities, not the rest of the land. Another factor was the French. The colonists had the French as allies who blocked the British at the coast at the battle in Yorktown which was the deciding factor of the war in the end. This made sure that the British were cut off from their help from the North and forced them to finally surrender. Overall, the colonists had better leaders that wanted to win more. Jenna Komac 3rd period
I think one major factor was that the colonists weren't fighting for money but for their families and their future. Moral is a major point about keeping an army in the field. That they knew the envoirentment was another major issue for the British because they didn't and were often attacked in places they didn't even think about. Another major one was, even though the french arrived very late they kept the British from sailing away so they had to give up.
The supply lines and the knowledge of the terrain and the dedication of the colonists to have their own country were large factors in the victory of the revolutionary war.
Some of the main factors are that The colonists had home advantage so that they had the moral support, another great factor is when the french showed up to help fight - Jarrett Krause
