Today we discussed some of the major concepts and events of the Cold War that took place during the Truman and Eisenhower presidencies. One of the points of emphasis was how the Cold War began at the end of WWII because of agreements such as Yalta that divided Germany and Korea. We viewed a Civil Defense video explaining how to survive an atomic blast and discussed its implications in our discussion of the Cold War.
